Internacional. A agência de classificação de risco Standard & Poor’s (S&P) elevou de estável para positiva a perspectiva da nota da dívida pública brasileira. A decisão foi divulgada nesta quarta-feira, 11.
A perspectiva positiva significa que a agência pode elevar a nota do país nos próximos dois anos. Atualmente, a S&P concede nota BB- para o Brasil, três níveis abaixo do grau de investimento, garantia de que o país não corre risco de dar calote na dívida pública.
Em comunicado, a S&P informou que o Brasil está adotando reformas para reduzir o déficit nas contas públicas. Além disso, a queda dos juros básicos, que estão nos menores níveis da história, ajuda a controlar o endividamento do governo.
“Isso, juntamente com taxas de juros mais baixas e implementação gradual da agenda de reformas, deve contribuir para perspectivas de crescimento e investimento mais fortes nos próximos três anos, além de uma melhoria gradual nos resultados fiscais”, destacou a agência.
A S&P informou, no comunicado, que a nota do país pode ser elevada nos próximos dois anos caso as reformas avancem. Segundo a agência, a classificação pode subir “se houver mais progresso — seja priorização, aprovação ou execução — na ampla agenda fiscal e de crescimento do governo, permitindo uma redução mais rápida dos déficits fiscais do Brasil e uma estabilização da dinâmica da dívida.”
Desde janeiro de 2018, a S&P enquadra o Brasil três níveis abaixo do grau de investimento, mesma nota concedida pela Fitch, outra das principais agências de classificação de risco. A Moody’s classifica o país dois níveis abaixo do grau de investimento.
